To Moscow this week for a live-as-it-happened concert featuring The Bolshoi Orchestra, conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev and featuring 23 year old wunderkind Soprano Julia Lezhneva in a program of music by Salieri,  Mozart and Rossini.

No notes this time, and the announcements are in Russian. The concert was edited down from it’s almost 3 hour length (intermissions and intermission talks), but the full concert is all there and the audience is over-the-top for Ms. Lezhneva. And there are a pile of encores.

One small technical note – on Part 2 there are two glitches – one at the intro of the Semiramide Overture and one at the intro of the William Tell Overture – they last about 1/2 second each. The Semiramide is noticeable while the William Tell just sounds like a split second drop in the music. Just thought you’d like to know.

Another wonderful live concert from Russia via Radio Orpheus – one that happens every night. Check them out and bookmark them. You will be amazed.

In the meantime, enjoy.
