The Spring festivals are starting up. Kicking things off in the Netherlands with the Spring installment of the London Calling Festival, which happens twice a year.
Tonight’s mini-concert comes from one of the more recent bands-to-watch, Montreal’s Folly and The Hunter. Even though they’ve been around since 2011, with the release of their highly regarded debut album, Residents. Their latest album Tragic Care is a follow-up in the good reviews department, which came out in April of last year.
This performance from the London Calling Festival, was recorded by the venerable VPRO inThe Netherlands just five days ago, and is part of their current tour of Europe, which is taking them everywhere from Liverpool to Munich.
So another must-see band from Canada is currently making the rounds. Things are looking up. And from the sounds of it, a very vibrant and healthy scene is taking place in Montreal these days.
