Day 3 and things are trickling along. A grateful debt of thanks to those of you who have contributed so far. It’s making a big difference.

But we’re not out of the woods yet. We still have a ways to go before we reach our $10,000 operating goal for the next 6 months.

As you know, Past Daily is all about history and music and things Culturally Pop that you may have forgotten about, never heard before, or never heard quite that way before.

It’s a huge archive we tap from – almost a half-million recordings, going back to 1898. Those recordings, some of them, are fragile – they are disintegrating as I’m writing this. And it’s a race-against-time in some cases. It takes a lot of work to put the posts up on this site that we do every day, and we’ve been doing it faithfully since 2012.

But we need your help to keep the ball rolling and to help it grow. That’s why I’m appealing to all of you out there who come visit each day.
