Continuing 80s week with Altered Images. Short-lived by most band’s standards, they attracted a lot of attention from the get-go. A boost from John Peel was a big plus. A budding acting career for lead singer Clare Grogan also helped. And being named Best New Band of 1981 from New Musical Express was the icing on the cake.
