Someone new on the horizon tonight. Belgian Indie/Psych/Alt band Ostyn, fronted by Bert Ostyn, recorded during the recent PIAS Nites festival in Paris, on March 10 of this year.
Fresh, engaging, loaded with hooks and interesting side-trips, Ostyn is continuing to blaze the New-Psych trail with a debut album, which came out in February, along with an extensive batch of tour dates to keep the momentum going.
Good word of mouth so far, not sure if there are plans for anything Stateside as yet (but you never know). And if the debut album is anything nearly as good as their live sets, they should have a good long run.
I’m putting my money on Ostyn as a band to watch for 2015. Blame me if I’m wrong.
