Back after a two week hiatus, this week it’s back to Spain with a concert by Orquesta Sinfonica del Principado de Asturias, led by Yves Abel and featuring Basque-born cellist Asier Polo in music of Dutilleux, Rosini-Respighi and Liszt. It was recorded live in concert by the venerable Radio Nacional Espana’s Radio Clasica channel on February 17th of this year.

A little short, coming in at a little over an hour, but a good mid-week break.

Here’s what’s on the player:

Both Abel and Polo are getting very good press throughout Europe. They are definitely two talents to watch for.

In the meantime, it’s Anti-Road Rage Wednesday (or Thursday where you are). So enjoy.
