First Aid Kit are probably one of the most unique and engaging duos currently making waves on the nu-Folk scene. Johanna and Klara Söderberg, barely in their 20s create a heady mix of Folk, Country and Alternative, and add a vocal blending that is spellbinding.

They’ve been touring a lot and have been busy this year, including an upcoming stop at Glastonbury in June. Mostly, they are concentrating on their native Sweden with a few stops in Berlin and Zurich. So far, nothing in the States this year . . .yet.

Tonight, it’s a short concert from the Pustervik Festival in 2012, recorded by Sveriges Radio in Stockholm.

First Aid Kit have been making a name for themselves all over since 2011. If for some reason you’re not familiar with them, or haven’t heard them, here is an excellent opportunity to acquaint yourself with one of the more interesting and noteworthy bands currently giving Popular music something to be grateful for.
