More from Jazz Fest 2013. Tonight it’s an extended excerpt of a set by Ivan Neville‘s legendary Dumpstaphunk, recorded on Day 1/Weekend 1 – April 27th.

Since you’ve probably already heard the Guitar Slim Jr./Allen Toussaint and Trombone Shorty sets, I don’t need to tell you the festival was something else this year.

Not only the cream of New Orleans talent, but some of the greatest figures in music in the world set foot on the stages at Jazz Fest this year.

And there are enough memorable concerts to keep going for at least the rest of the year.

But , it’s Festival season and the bands are piling up all over the place.

We’ll keep it going until the season is over. In the meantime, enjoy and be aware Dumpstaphunk has hit the road, so it’s a safe bet you’ll be seeing a lot more of them between now and the end of the year. Get tickets and see them.
