A couple of Jazz legends this weekend (not that there aren’t Jazz legends here every weekend), by way of  Joe Pass and Lee Konitz, recorded live in Copenhagen in 1988 and broadcast over the Danish network Danmarks Radio.

Very simple, straightforward and elegant, all at the same time. Both Pass and Konitz have been major influences in the Jazz idiom and both have been associated with a virtual Who’s Who in Jazz. In this relaxed atmosphere, they both give ample reason why they wear the mantle of Legend so well.

But beyond all that, it’s a very nice addition to your weekend listening.
