Finishing up this years Lowlands Festival, with a stellar lineup on Sunday, here is one of the acts from that final day, a festival favorite this year, Alabama Shakes.
Far from the shrinking violet, Alabama Shakes lead singer Brittany Howard rips up the stage with some old fashioned Blues Shouting, and the audience promptly howls approval.
On a huge European tour so far this year (with the odd day or two off here and there), Alabama Shakes is busily promoting their debut album, Boys and Girls as well as their latest ep, Hang Loose. They are slated to come back to the States in September and jump right into a cross-country tour, hitting what looks like primarily a southerly route.
So while you’re waiting for them to show up in your neighborhood, here’s a taste of what Alabama Shakes have been up to the past few months.
