While the tributes keeping coming in, reacting to the sad news that Country Music legend  and band leader Ray Price lost his battle with pancreatic Cancer a few days ago, I ran across an early radio broadcast when he was doing a guest stint on the CBS Radio program Aunt Jemima’s Home Folks. Around since 1950, Price started churning out hits in 1956, beginning with Crazy Arms. This program is a few years before that.

It’s not known if these broadcasts were reissued or not. But they are a good live glimpse of an artist  early-on  in his career.

Here is that complete broadcast of Aunt Jemima‘s Home Folks, as broadcast over CBS Radio on May 6, 1953.

RIP: Ray Price.
