Eagulls got together in 2010, and have been getting great reaction ever since. Hitting the road this year to promote their debut album, which came out in March, Eagulls have been surprise hits everywhere from Route du Rock in France, to SXSW in Austin. To go along with all the high energy is all the high drama associated with being the new kids on the block. Delivering a highly inflammatory opening letter to bands at SXSW they got high praise and screaming criticism, and virtually nothing in-between. But being new, they’re entitled to their brash, opinionated and somewhat chaotic presence. Nobody seems to pay any attention to the shy, retiring types.
So to give you an idea of what you may be in for if you’re heading off to a nearby festival, which they happen to be playing at this Summer – or have been curious about Eagulls, but haven’t actually heard them yet, here’s your chance. They’ve got a full tour schedule, and from the looks of it, will be on the road well into October.
