One of the reasons I decided to start the Soundbooth feature was because there were so many bands I like which I don’t have very much in the way of live or in-studio session material on that it seemed a shame not to be able to include them more often as part of the Past Daily family.

Intimate Stranger have been one of my favorite bands for a long time now, and they’ve been working very hard gathering an audience and getting some much-needed attention. One of those perfect combinations of cultures, blended together in the cause of great music, Intimate Stranger is primarily from Santiago, Chile. Their lead singer, Tessie Woodgate (who is also married to lead guitarist Lau) is from Croatia via London. The band split their time between Santiago and London and have been appearing at various venues around the U.S., most notably at SXSW about two years ago.

They’ve been concentrating on gigging around Chile the past several months and are recording and just keeping the momentum going.

Tonight it’s one of their latest singles, Imaginary Conversation #1 came out last year, and my apologies for getting around to posting it only now.

Check out their website and their Facebook page as well as their Soundcloud page to see what they’re up to. And while you’re at it, pick up a copy of any (or all) of their five albums, with another one scheduled on the way.

Good band, good people, good music. Can’t ask for better.
