Killing Joke tonight. In session for John Peel from July 4th 1983. Extending the Experimental/Alternative mantle a bit, Killing Joke were one of those bands who had no trouble stretching things a bit and trying something different.
Sadly, they didn’t get the full recognition in the States that they did on their home turf of the UK at the time. Sometimes change happens slowly around here.
In any event, here is a sample of what they were up to during those heady days of 1983, in case you missed them the first time around or wanted to be reminded that changing direction every now and then is a healthy thing.
