With the news of the passing of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo earlier today, it brought back a memory of his electrifying keynote address to the 1984 Democratic Convention. An address which gave voice to the frustrations of many Americans in the 1980s.
As no doubt many tributes will be pouring in over the next few days, and most will play an excerpt of this historic address, here is the complete address, as it was given during that convention, held on July 16, 1984 as a reminder of the power of Mario Cuomo’s words.
