It’s always good to be reminded that the current state of music is all-inclusive (well . .it’s always been, we just didn’t have the access we do now) and people are doing it in every corner of the globe.
Sweden has been very active with new and interesting music for quite some time now. Solen is the latest entry, although they have been around the past few years (I posted another gig of theirs last year) and have gained the reputation of being Sweden’s best unsigned band. Although they have since been signed to Playground Music Scandanavia and busy promoting their second alblum, For Those Who Care, which came out late in 2014. They’re currently on tour throughout Sweden between now and April and are scheduled to appear at the Emmaboda Festival in July.
To get up to speed on what’s new in Sweden of late, here is Solen performing at the Popkriget club, day before yesterday.
Enjoy. They sing in Swedish – but you should be used to that on this site by now. Language is no barrier to appreciating music as far as Past Daily is concerned.
And while you’re doing that, please take a minute out to make your pledge or tell your friends about our Emergency Fund Raiser, which we desperately need your help with. We’re facing eviction from our Vault space and it could spell disaster for Past Daily. If you could chip in just a few dollars, that would help more than you can imagine.
