Breaking it up a bit tonight with something completely different; a concert by former Fugees founder Wyclef Jean recorded in concert at Baloise Session, near Basel Switzerland in 2014. Jean, who settled in the U.S. as a child from his native Haiti, has been heavily involved in Haitian politics the past few years. His unsuccessful bid to run for the President of Haiti hasn’t prevented him from getting involved in the reconstruction of that island nation, devastated by Hurricane Jeanne in 2004.

Aside from Haitian politics, Jean has been continuing work on his solo career. With a mashup of styles from Hip-hop, Reggae and Soul, Jean has had a successful career since leaving Fugees in 1997. Three Grammy wins and 11 albums, Wyclef Jean shows no sign of slowing down. And the Swiss audience enjoy the hell out of the show.

Tomorrow’s a holiday, in case you forgot.

And while you’re checking out Wyclef Jean, check out our Past Daily Emergency Fundraiser and chip in a few bucks to keep us from getting evicted and our site vanishing off the Internet. We have until the end of this month to scrape together our raise in rent money and to prevent getting evicted, as the landlords have promised to do. So we need your help. Any amount you can chip in would be gratefully accepted. And even if you can’t chip in right now, please tell your friends – we need all of you. Click on the link below and make your Tax-Deductible contribution – there’s not much time left, so please do it now.
