Continuing our investigation of the goings on at the legendary Rock du Rock Hiver festival in St. Malo this year with yet another example of musical life straight from Los Angeles, by way of Allah-Las.
One of the foremost Garage/Psych/neo-Punk/Surf/Rock outfits on the West Coast in recent years, Allah-Las brought their heady stew of mind-melting fuzz-tinged warpage to the crowd at St. Malo, who dug every second of their 56 minute set.
Around since 2008 with two albums to their credit, including their new one Worship The Sun which was issued in September of last year, Allah-Las have embarked on a tour of Europe. Playing a few dates between now and when they head back to the West Coast to play Coachella and then opening for Alabama Shakes later on in April in Las Vegas, they are heading back for an extended tour of Europe before heading back to the West Coast in June.
Busy year for the band, and judging by the reception, a wildly successful one.
