I posted a Ride concert a few weeks ago, as part of Shoegaze Week, but this one is the first session they did for John Peel in February of 1990, so I thought I would share it with you.

Since they’ve reunited and are making the Festivals this year, it only seems fitting to remind everyone how welcome it is to have them back.

Ride were always a special band, as far as I was concerned. At the forefront of the Shoegaze phenomenon, they ran through several changes, both in personnel and direction through the decade of the 90s, but they were always an interesting and exciting band to listen to. And each new album was a new adventure.

So – if you’re still mulling over the concert I ran last month, here is an early session to tie it all in.

Great stuff from a phenomenal band during a pivotal time in Rock. Their new incarnation will be eagerly anticipated.

Play loud – they did.
