Having just heard bits from the upcoming 3rd album release by Other Lives (Rituals is coming out on May 4th), I was reminded that I first ran a concert of theirs from Paris in 2011 and predicted good things for the band.

Four years later and the good things are happening. Other Lives has been around almost 13 years. In that time they’ve undergone the requisite changes and direction shifts, but they have maintained the lush layering of sound that has been their trademark all this time.

And while they get ready to embark on a tour that will take them all through Europe, back to the States and back to Europe through July, I thought I would run one of their earlier sessions. This one done at The Switch in Los Angeles and captured for posterity by the crew at La Blogotheque.

If you aren’t familiar with Other Lives, I urge you to check them out and get hold of their two earlier albums. And don’t miss them during this new tour. Head over to their page and see what they’re up to.
