Another entry from last week’s London Calling Festival. A session tonight from Eaves (aka: Joe Lyons), recorded by VPRO and broadcast on their 3VOOR12 station.
Eaves is another one of those artists to watch. A solo artist who performs live with a band, Eaves has one ep out and an album just out, What Green Feels Like. Another artist currently on the radar as an act to watch, Eaves has been getting a lot of good word of mouth via Mojo and The Sunday Times, who proclaimed What Green Feels Like as one of “The most compelling British Debut albums of the year”.
With his London Calling Festival as a warm-up to a tour that begins in June and lasts until September (so far), hitting a lot of festivals all around Europe, Eaves is hitting the road and making the case for audience support.
Judging by this session, he’s getting more support every day.
Another artist to keep an eye out for. It’s becoming a very full year for new artists – which is great as last year things were a bit quiet out there on the New Artist front.
