Alabama Shakes – Live At Down The Rabbit Hole 2015 – Nights At The Roundtable: Festival Edition
Alabama Shakes are big news in the U.S., they are sensations in Europe. Fronted by Shouter-extraordinaire Brittany Howard, Alabama Shakes has been getting a lot of attention, and deservedly so. Straight-forward, no frills, nothing cute – just the real deal.
And because they’ve been grabbing a huge fan base, they’ve been keeping the momentum going with touring – hitting the road hard. Tonight it’s a gig at Down The Rabbit Hole in The Netherlands, the same weekend as Glastonbury on the other side of the English Channel. It was recorded by VPRO and broadcast on 3VOOR12 on June 28th. With a new album out (Sound and Color), they’re right in the middle of a major tour, which should keep them busy well into November. They are all over the U.S. between the end of July and the end of August and in September they head back over to Europe for what looks like the rest of the year. Busy schedule – but you gotta do what you gotta do in order to get the message out.
If you missed them, or are planning on catching them during this leg of their tour, here is a taste of what they’ve been up to this year. Check out their site for ticket availability and where they are playing that’s near you. Also, you can pick up the new album.
It’s Saturday night – July 4th, and no better opportunity than to crank this concert up.
