Shake Shake Go – In Concert At Paleo Festival – July 22, 2015 – RTS Couleur 3

Jumping back into Festival Season this week with the latest offering via the Paleo Festival in Switzerland. Around for some 40 years, Paleo is one of the more popular festivals in Europe – and this year it was no different. Star-studded lineups, lots of new talent, and a raging thunderstorm, turning the otherwise bucolic setting into a mud bath.

But that didn’t dampen spirits at all. And a lot of people braved the haywire elements to catch a few notes from some new kids on the block.

Shake Shake Go are a London-based Alternative/nu-Folk/pop band, fronted by the fantastic Poppy Jones, whose voice propels the sound into anthem-category. Coupled with a heavy emphasis on percussion, Shake Shake Go have won a lot of followers and press accolades during their very short time on the scene – they’ve been around 3 years and their debut ep came out earlier this year with a follow-up just a few weeks ago.

If you haven’t heard about them yet, here is a nice introduction and a good excuse to jump over to their site and pick up a copy of England Skies (the latest) or their s/t ep which came out earlier this year. They’ve been on tour, but no U.S. dates (as far as I can see via their Facebook page) – but that doesn’t mean they won’t get over here at some point.

In the meantime, crank it up and get ready for the weekend.
