Supergrass – Live At Reading Festival 2001 – Nights At The Roundtable: Festival Edition

– Supergrass – Live at The Reading Festival 2001 – BBC 6 Music –
Perennial favorites Supergrass tonight. Recorded live at the Reading Festival in 2001 by the venerable BBC.
One of the bands heralded as part of the Brit-Pop Movement in the mid-90s, Supergrass got off to a massive start; their debut album being a biggest debut seller of any group since The Beatles Please, Please Me debut album in 1963. They rode the crest of that wave for almost 10 years before creative differences forced a split and finally dissolving in 2010. But in the years before, they had several hit albums and sell-out concerts throughout the world – though not as much of a household name in the U.S. as they were in the UK and rest of the world, they were still a very popular band for much of their tenure.
Tonight it’s a concert featuring a lot of material from their second album In It For The Money and their third self-titled album.
Crank it up – a great band to hear loud. Luckily for everyone, lead singer Gaz Coombes is enjoying a very busy and well-received 2015 as a solo artist after some stand-out performances at recent festivals around Europe.
Thanks a million!
My pleasure!!
