In honor of the 25th year since the passing of Leonard Bernstein, I thought I would run this 1976 concert with Bernstein as Laureate Music Director and Murray Perahia, piano soloist.

An interesting, historic program, recorded circa June 29, 1976 (no exact date, but it was broadcast on that date) featuring the U.S. Premier of Benjamin Britten‘s Suite on English Folk Tunes “A Time There Was”. Followed by a performance of William Schuman‘s Concert On English Rounds and finishing the concert with Robert Schumann‘s Piano Concerto in A Minor with Murray Perahia as Piano soloist.

It’s on two players, since it runs almost 2 hours. So here’s what’s what:
