Past Daily Fall Fundraiser – Communique #21
Day #22 – 9 Days left – just a little over a week to go, and it’s dead-quiet around here. I don’t know what to say – I’m a little shocked – no actually, I’m a lot shocked – because I thought, could have sworn up and down, that Past Daily was worthy of support by a lot of people – not just a few, but a lot of you, who come by to visit every day – Sunday alone, we had over 10,000 people come by and visit – if each of you gave $1.00 the Fundraiser would be a screaming success. But it didn’t – in fact, nobody chipped in. Look; I know you like getting stuff for free and not having to pay for it – the reason I started Past Daily in the first place was to offer you everything for free – and that you didn’t have to pay for it. All I’m asking is, a few times a year, that you chip in and help out however you can. Not a lot, unless you want to – but it’s all needed at this point and it all goes to keeping Past Daily up and running and the Archive continuing to preserve, restore and digitize the thousands of hours of broadcasts, interviews, Pop Culture and Concerts we run here every week, all week long. I don’t think it’s a lot to ask; to chip in a few bucks here and there – you can write it off your taxes, and it’s going to a good cause. So I don’t really know what I can do to convince you that we need your help and support, except to keep asking and updating you – letting you know what’s going on and keep hounding you for a pledge. If you believe in what we’re trying to do – want to help, please make a contribution – if you want to help, but can’t afford it – I understand – ask your friends to come by, visit and chip in. We need all the support we can get and we only have a few days left to do it in. We’re coming up on the weekend and some of you have plans, and maybe those plans don’t include a visit online – but we’re still here, still asking, still hoping – and maybe you’ll be convinced we’re worth it.
Click on the link in the box below and chip in what you can. We’ll appreciate it – you’ll feel better – we’ll all sleep tonight.
Till Next Time,
