Continuing to bask in the glow of last weekends’ Pitchfork Festival in Paris, a set by former Spaceman 3 frontman Jason Pierce (aka: J. Spaceman), otherwise known as Spiritualized, in a hypnotic and riveting set, recorded on the same day as Unknown Mortal Orchestra (October 31st).
An embarrassment of riches, so to speak – Spiritualized are a band to experience live – with a lineup that is constantly changing; only J. Spaceman is the constant. Needless to say, it was a high-voltage event, weaving a tapestry of sounds and genres into one cohesive unit, which floated over the entire hall.
