Past Daily 2016 Spring Fundraiser – Communiqué Number 1
We’re gearing up for our annual months worth of pitching, pleading and asking. We only do it because, a couple times a year, we need to raise enough money to keep the website up and running and the archive continuing its herculean project of digitizing the 100,000 + hours of history, music and popular culture – and offering them to you for free. It’s all free; You don’t have to subscribe, pay to download – nothing. Because it’s history, our culture, who we are as people and where we’ve been, it needs to be around for you to remind yourself we’ve either always been that way, or we’ve never been that way before. It’s all there for you, every day – and we bring it to you at least three times a day; seven days a week. So all I ask in return is for you to chip in what you can afford to help us pay rent, fix equipment, pay for supplies – all the stuff we need to run this operation on a day-to-day basis. And really, you can give as much or as little as you want, it’s up to you. And if you can’t contribute and don’t need the tax deduction, please tell your friends. Because the more people who visit and like what we do, the more the word gets out. We’ve been around for a little over 4 years now and we have thousands of posts up so far – but we’re just scratching the surface – and with your help we can keep bringing all these rarities to you every day.
