Beer can be cheap or expensive, depending on how you look at it, or where you’re having it. If you drink at home, it can be pretty economical. If you go out with friends and get sloshed, you can, as the billboards say: “Blow $10,000″.
Either way, you spend money. But if you take the cost of one beer; one lousy, tiny, partially room-temperature beer, and toss it over to the Past Daily Fall Fundraiser, it can help in ways you can’t imagine – and best of all, no hangover in the morning.
Okay, maybe I’m grabbing at straws here – but what I’m saying is that, it doesn’t take much to support a site like Past Daily. What we do every day is bring history and Pop Culture to your desktop and Mobile Device and put a whole world at your fingertips. Stuff you may not know about – stuff that is happening now that has happened before – stuff that changed the course of history, but nobody thought so at the time. That’s what we’re all about.
If you come over and visit us, you’ll find a lot to dig through. And thanks to our last Fundraiser, it’s easier now for you to do that. We offer history, people, situations, news, culture, the celebrated and the notorious – all under one roof. A place you can spend days, or at least hours, exploring.
We’re doing this fundraiser once a year and we’re trying to raise as much as we can to take care of the mountain of bills and repairs we need to take care of before the end of the year.
And a LOT of you have been pitching in so far! I can’t thank you enough for your contributions and support – it’s been huge and I am blown away – you are loved. If we can keep it up, we’ll be done in a few days.
Your support so far, only one day in, has been pretty astonishing – it gives me hope and encouragement that we’re doing the right thing and we’re getting the message out. That’s all I want to do – and you are helping.
Contribute what you can – I know these are seriously troubled times so I am not asking for you to give more than you can or are willing. Like I said; the price of a cup of coffee or a Beer is all we’re asking. So do what you can, and keep telling your friends – the more people know about it, the better it is. We can also use all the new visitors who have never been here before to come check us out.
