Linn Koch-Emmery – in session for Session At P3 – Sveriges Radio – April 27, 2020 – Sveriges Radio, Stockholm –

Heading north tonight, over to Stockholm for a session by Linn Koch-Emmery, recorded in session at Sveriges Radio P3 in Stockholm on April 27 of 2020.

Smack in the middle of lock-down and there is still live music to be had, even if it is within the confines of a radio studio – it’s still live and it’s still full of energy.

Effortlessly mixing classic pop melodies with the likes of a 90’s fuzzy guitar sound, Linn Koch-Emmery has been touted as one of the most rapidly rising stars in Swedish modern indie-rock. Writing songs is what Linn Koch-Emmery does – short, sharp indie-rock rollercoasters that are easy on the ear and easy to listen to several times in one sitting. Those songs have won her fans, taken her on tour to Germany, the UK, and even Mexico, and established her as one of her Sweden’s brightest new talents.

Debuting in 2017 she quickly gained attention on blogs and media worldwide and with four out of eight released songs making it onto national and international radio the buzz around the messy haired, bright eyed Swede was a fact. Linn was also selected as ‘Artist of the Future’ by Swedish National Radio P3 and was nominated as a newcomer at the prestigious Gold Awards 2019.

Since then, Koch-Emmery has completed her first European tour as well as playing shows and festivals in the US, Mexico and the UK. Linn has a tireless work ethic – evidenced by the more than 40 shows she played in 2019.

In February of this year, her publisher Bucks Music Group announced the release of her new single ‘Blow My Mind’ on the 19th. So even with restrictions and social distancing, the message still needs to get out. She’s on Spotify, so you can run over there and grab a copy.

In the meantime, crank this session up.
