All-French repertoire, beginnning with Ibert’s Bacchanale. Followed by Honegger’s Piano concerto and Ravel’s Concerto for Left hand with Claire-Marie LeGuay, along with excerpts from Miroirs by Ravel as an encore. The orchestra concludes with Milhaud’s Le Boeuf sur le Toit, Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloe (Suite Number 2) and ends with an encore of Bizet’s Toreadors Song from Carmen.

Claire-Marie Le Guay began playing piano at age 4 and entered the Paris Conservatoire at age 14, where she studied with Jacques Rouvier, Pascal Devoyon and Bruno Rigutto. Following her education in Paris, she continued her education with a variety of established teachers, including Dmitri Bashkirov, Fou Ts’ong, Claude Frank, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Alicia de Larrocha, William Grant Naboré, Andreas Staier, György Sebők, and Leon Fleisher. She was a winner of several major international competitions: First prize winner at International Contest of Chamber Music of Portogruaro in Italy (1990); Prize-winner at Maria Canals competition in Barcelona (1994); First prize winner at ARD Competition in Munich (1994). In 1998 she was voted France’s Young Musician of the Year.
She is established as a major soloist in Europe, Asia and America. In 2000, Daniel Barenboim personally invited her for a tour in the USA with the Chicago Civic Orchestra, with concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Chicago Symphony Center. She has performed as a soloist with a great number of major orchestras throughout the world such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Bayerischer Rundfunk Symphonieorchester, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (Emmanuel Krivine), Residentie Orkest Den Haag, Rheinland-Pfalz Philharmonie, Kölner Kammerorchester, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo (OSESP), with conductors like Louis Langrée, Michel Plasson, Emmanuel Krivine, Uri Segal, …. In 2009, she toured in Japan with the New Japan Philharmonic and Christian Arming.
