Claire-Marie Le Guay, Piano – Enrique Mazzola – Orchestre National d’Ile de France – Live in Bucharest – September 13, 2013 – Radio France Musique.
Over to Bucharest, Rumania for a brief visit with Claire-Marie Le Guay, accompanied by Enrique Mazzola and Orchestre National d’Ile de France in September 2013.
All-French repertoire, beginnning with Ibert’s Bacchanale. Followed by Honegger’s Piano concerto and Ravel’s Concerto for Left hand with Claire-Marie LeGuay, along with excerpts from Miroirs by Ravel as an encore. The orchestra concludes with Milhaud’s Le Boeuf sur le Toit, Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloe (Suite Number 2) and ends with an encore of Bizet’s Toreadors Song from Carmen.
Nothing taxing or earth-shattering – just good music making and an ecstatic audience.
