And the rush of opening day at TRNSMT 2021 in Glasgow continued with the Irish band Inhaler, keeping the energy high and the spirits non-stop.
Tipped for success in 2020 and releasing a slew of singles before the lockdown hit and ground just about everything to a halt. Luckily there was enough in the can to keep the momentum up. In July of this year they released their debut album and have kept a high profile the whole time, hitting the top-10 charts throughout Europe, especially in Germany and The Netherlands. They are embarking on a US tour this November and another one in March of 2022. Further proof you can’t keep a good thing down.
The press and audience have been on their side and the audience is growing. With upcoming US tours, the hope that Inhaler will become a household name in the States, as well as It Won’t Always Be Like This (the prophetic title of their debut album, which ironically was written four years earlier) being issued by Interscope over here (Polydor in the rest of the world) to score heavily on the charts here.
Coupled with a cautious return to the Almost-Summer Festival season, Inhaler staged a standout performance before the wildly enthusiastic Glasgow crowd and it was captured for posterity by BBC Scotland on Radio and BBC 2 on TV.
