Fuzzy Sun – In Session – 2021 – Past Daily Soundbooth – Music In The Time Of COVID

Fuzzy Sun - Radio X Session - 2021
Fuzzy Sun – Like just about every band and artist in 2020 – forced into hiatus while the Pandemic shut everything down.

Fuzzy Sun – in session for X-Posure with John Kennedy – November 26, 2021 – Radio X, London –

Fuzzy Sun in session tonight – recorded earlier this weekend at Radio X in London for John Kennedy’s X-Posure program.

Like just about every band and artist in the world, 2020 was a terrible year, and only in recent months of 2021 are things beginning to look like getting back to normal, or a reasonable facsimile. The mass shutdowns due to COVID forced many musicians into hiatus, while some tried to take advantage of down time and record new albums and ep’s, stockpiling material for the time live performing in concerts and clubs gets back into action.

For Manchester’s Fuzzy Sun, it meant going the socially distanced route in the studio and putting together their latest ep, Since The Dog Died, which was released on November 23rd, as well as kicking off a tour starting in December.

After a quick start on the scene that saw tours with major UK artists and their first run of European dates, sold out headline shows at Manchester’s Gorilla, Academy 3 and London’s Camden Assembly – Fuzzy Sun, tipped by everyone from NME’s 100 List, DORK, Earmilk, Gigwise, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, Radio X and Spotify’s New Music Friday UK and Hot New Bands playlists take on 2021 fuelled by boundless energy and an unstoppable ethos.

While you’re waiting for their tour to land in your town, here is that session they did earlier this week as a reminder and a cause for celebration.
