Trashcan Sinatras - consistently engaging and with word images light years away from the norm.
Trashcan Sinatras In Session – 2009 – Past Daily Soundbooth

– Trashcan Sinatras – Live at KDHX – Aug.8, 2009 –
One of my all-time favorite bands, Trashcan Sinatras have been around for a good-long time and show no signs of wear, strain or boredom. They have always been a consistently good and engaging musical unit, with some of the most inspired lyrics of any group I’ve heard in the past 20+ years.
So when I ran across this recent re-release via Soundcloud of a Trashcan Sinatras session at radio station KDHX in St. Louis, from August 8, 2009, I had to include it, not just because they’re great band, but it’s also great way to wind down an otherwise insane week here on Planet Earth.
Here’s what’s on the player:

1. Prisons
2. In The Music
3. I Hung My Harp Up The Willows
4. Weightlifting
In an unplugged setting, the subtle turns of phrase and word pictures are magnified and the wonderful talent of this band shines through. But then, I’m a fan so I’m partial.
If you aren’t familiar with Trashcan Sinatras, by all means check them out – they have an incredible catalog of material and all of it is available. If you are familiar with them, and have heard my previous posts of this band, crank this one up and enjoy it.
