Brian And Roger Eno – In Concert At The Acropolis – 2021 – Past Daily Backstage Pass.

Brian and Roger Eno – Finally, a debut album.

Brian and Roger Eno – live at The Acropolis, Athens. The Athens Epidaurus Festival – August 4, 2021 –

A collaboration between two brothers and, at long last, a debut album of their work together. Brian and Roger Eno performing at the 2021 Athens Epidaurus Festival and recorded on August 4, 2021.

In addition to the two, they are joined by Cecily Eno on vocals and mandolin, Leo Abrahams on guitar and Peter Chilvers on keyboards.

It was their first-ever concert together and the first time in over 40 years that Brian Eno played a concert anywhere. Needless to say, it was an historic event – one which was broadcast as well as preserved on video.

Although perhaps not as well known to the mass audience as his brother Brian is, Roger Eno has been very active as a composer for a number of years and one of his first solo albums was issued on his brother’s label Ambient Records (and strangely not mentioned in his Wikipedia bio) in the early 1980s. He has been critically well received and considered a cult figure among his peers and has composed a substantial amount of music for Film.

Brian, of course needs no introduction, as an integral role of producer for a number of artists and bands, his own solo work albums (not to mention his early work as keyboard player for Roxy Music in the 1970s) have been highly influential on a number of levels. His series of albums recorded for his own label Ambient have been milestones and his Music For Airports laid the groundwork for Electronic music for decades after.

This is an auspicious concert and a celebrated collaboration between two brothers whose work is timeless.
