Olivia Dean in concert to start the week. Recorded live at La Gaite Lyrique in Paris this past November.

Olivia Dean’s gorgeous, gauzy pop ballads are irresistible – she’s a core part of our Music of Tomorrow as she gears up for a massive 2023. Born and raised in Walthamstow, Olivia Dean is one the UK’s brightest rising stars, praised for her endearing, down-to-earth lyrics and magnetic, feel-good live performances. To date, Dean has released three EPs, all met with critical acclaim. With lyrics that speak to growth, femininity and the soul, her music is pure escapism for anyone who wants to feel a little more like themselves. Olivia Dean was named Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Artist of 2021, and has over two million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Since starting out in a gospel choir at the age of eight, the British singer was catapulted into the limelight after collaborating with Rudimental in 2019. Their track, Adrenaline, was an instant hit. Soon after, she released her latest EP, aptly titled Growth. The artist is known for crafting poignant ballads that showcase a deep sense of self-awareness. She cites Carole King, Lauryn Hill and Amy Winehouse as her biggest influences.

She starts a completely sold-out tour of the UK starting on Tuesday (March 7). Further evidence she’s on to something good and has a bright future ahead of her.
