Stepping outside our usual comfort zone for a bit to give you an update on our Emergency Fundraiser.
We’re three days into trying to keep Past Daily up and running and keep the archive from falling into the dumpster. It’s been a horrific month so far, and we’re only five days into it. But the situation remains; we desperately need your help. Since the beginning of the year we’ve had a dramatic increase in operating costs and a huge jump in the rent for our vault space – the place we have all the recordings you hear and download every day from Past Daily.
As you know, we’ve begun our Indiegogo Emergency Fundraiser, and response has been good so far. There are a lot of you who visit every day and enjoy what you hear – I don’t charge for it; never have-never will. It’s all history and information and you shouldn’t have to pay to be informed. Besides, we have advertising on the site and that helps pay (but not very much) to keep Past Daily up and running.
But we need your help – we need your Tax Deductible donations in order to get us over this current situation and to put us back on our feet. It doesn’t matter how much you can afford to spend, we are grateful for any amount you can give. And if you simply can’t afford it (and believe me, I understand), you can still help out by telling your friends and helping get the word out.

Strangely, the Internet can be a very lonely place. We work for hours and hours on stories and posts, not knowing if anyone will listen or even care. We only go with what we feel good in the pit-of-our-stomach doing – we hope it reaches people who will appreciate it and be somehow influenced or ignited by it. But sometimes it’s like the sound of one-hand-clapping; you just never know if you’re making any difference or not. You go purely on hunches.
So I am appealing to you – the casual or interested reader and listener, to give what you can and to please help in whatever way you can, so we can continue to give you the best of what we have. It’s been a lifetime’s work so far – the joy of giving back and trying to make some difference in this life is all I’m interested in.
