– The Libertines – Live At T In The Park – July 11, 2015 – BBC 6 Music –

Starting off Wednesday with something loud, fast and out-of-control. The Libertines, in concert at T In The Park, recorded by the venerable BBC 6 Music during T In The Park festival.

Characterized by controversy, volatility and a generous nod to Garage Rock, The Libertines, after taking a ten year break, reunited in 2014 and are picking up where they left off.

Famous for his bouts of wretched excess, co-founder Pete Doherty came back in fine form, having successfully spent time at a rehab in Thailand and, by all appearances – clean-and-sober looked like they were sticking.

Their T In The Park gig is one of several headliners they played that Summer. By all accounts, the audience was glad to see them back. A New album, Anthems For Doomed Youth and a new lease on life; The Libertines were back for the long haul.

On the 13th of October 2023 the band released their first single in eight years, as well as announcing that their new album All Quiet on the Eastern Esplanade arriving on April 5th, 2024. To celebrate the announcement of the new album the band announced “The Albionay Tour”. An intimate club tour that sold out in seconds.

Stay tuned – play loud in the meantime.
