Continuing with what has been an astonishing batch of sessions, recorded for VPRO at the London Calling Festival in Holland last week.

The latest is Flo Morrissey – 21 year-old newcomer who was discovered by Neil Young‘s Manager during a recent trip to the UK. Immediately signed her and secured a label deal through Glassnote Records (Chvrches, Mumford & Sons, Daughter etc) and made her U.S. debut at SXSW this past March. Her very first video appearance was via La Blogotheque in Paris at a taping in December.

With a debut album eagerly anticipated, Flo Morrissey has been getting a lot of positive word-of-mouth and press. She’s on a tour of the UK starting this June through September and hitting a few festivals and generating a tremendous amount of buzz in the process.

There is something absolutely angelic about her voice – it is beyond haunting. With only two songs from this session, they make for repeated listening.

We can definitely call Flo Morrissey a star on the rise and a talent to watch in the coming months/years.
