15 hours left to go – Our last full day of asking for your support and your contributions. I don’t know what to say – I think I’ve said it all, made all the appeals, told you how I felt about history and preserving it and keeping an open mind and always be willing to discover new things. You know all that – but it’s down to the wire now – down to the last few hours of asking you to consider chipping for something that’s important, something that tries to offer something different than the usual website stuff. And I know there are a lot of you out there who support this site and are regular contributors to Past Daily – I know I’m preaching to the choir. It’s the ones who have just discovered this site – the ones who are visiting because a friend suggested it – or are working on a project and you Googled a name and my site popped up. And maybe you’re interested and maybe you’re going to explore what else is here – and maybe you’ve realized there are posts up daily that are all about history and culture and society; things you don’t hear about that much anymore or interviews with people you’ve heard about, but never actually heard – little known events which, over time, became major changes in our society. It’s all kinds of stuff – and I have tried to cover all the bases and keep unearthing things as our seemingly never-ending project of restoring and preserving yields much more.
And I want to continue doing that – I want to be here to provide that difference – to offer you some alternative to all the noise and click-bait and distractions and come-ons. I’m trying to do something real and valid here – and all I’m asking, is if you believe that’s important, and you think information and history and keeping an open mind is critical, then I ask for your support during these last few hours – support our efforts to bring all the best and the rarest to you.
