Since Past Daily’s Classical side is diving into Anti-Road Rage, the least we can do over here is not jar anybody.

cottish singer-songwriter SAMANTHA WHATES is a hugely respected figure on the folk & roots scene, enjoying both critical acclaim and extensive radio play for her solo releases and as part of PicaPica (Rough Trade Records).
2021 Danish Music Awards winner IDA WENOE mixes an appreciation of Americana with her own brand of Nordic-noir laced with English folk undertones. After two critically acclaimed albums with respected indie labels Songcrafter Music (DK) and Integrity Records (UK), Ida has enjoyed support on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 4, Amazing Radio, BBC Wales, BBC Cambridge, BBC Suffolk, BBC Shropshire, BBC Radio Ulster & KEXP.
Wenøe & Whates forged a musical bond some years ago while attending a Chris Difford (Squeeze) songwriting retreat, and were reunited 2 years later at the Folk Alliance in Kansas City where they had both been selected as official showcasing artists.
Though touring as separate co-headliners the pair regularly collaborate, joining each other on stage to perform new arrangements of each other’s favourite songs. After a successful UK tour in the Spring they’re carrying on their collaboration for 2022 with a Green Note double bill show.
