Waking up to the sad news this morning on the passing of iconic writer, poet, humanitarian, conscience Maya Angelou, who left us at 86.
While the news and reactions pour in from every part of the world, I thought I would add an interview NPR did with her in 2008, on the occasion of her 80th birthday as tribute to this gifted and treasured soul.
The voice may be gone, but the words will continue and continue to inspire and give comfort.
