Celebrating a birthday this week. Leon Russell turned 73, and as way of tribute to this legendary icon, here is a seldom heard concert from the Fillmore East, recorded on November 20, 1970.
For those in the know, this concert has been available in various formats over the years. However, the concert everyone knows about is the one from November 21st, the day after this one. This performance recently surfaced and the sound is quite amazing.

Just seen him at the Shed in Maryville Tn. and had tickets to see Leon & Merle Haggard at River Bend Fest . I did not go .
