Someone – In Session For The Great Escape 2022 – Past Daily Soundbooth

Someone – A spellbinding session for The Great Escape.

Someone – in session – The Great Escape Festival 2022 – Someone/Tessa Rose Jackson Stream –

Another dip in the spellbinding waters of Someone, recorded earlier this year in session for the Great Escape Festival.

Earlier this year I ran a session from 2021, recorded for VPRO’s radio outlet and this second encounter proves the first encounter was no fluke. Even though Tessa Rose Jackson, the brainchild behind Someone, has had a very successful career as a visual artist, her main focus is on music and the results are nothing short of enchanting.

Who says Music and Art don’t go together? Certainly not around here.

Here’s a blurb via her Soundcloud page (which you should also check out):

“Tessa Rose Jackson is an independent recording, performing & visual artist.
Having released her first self-produced album Songs From The Sandbox as just a teenager, Jackson has since honed her skills as a songwriter, producer and visual artist from her home studio in Amsterdam. She now creates tracks with an alternative and unique sound, drifting somewhere between Tame Impala’s psych-pop grunge, Feist’s quirky femininity & Beck’s casual eclecticism, combined with a steel sense of hooks and melodies that will attach
themselves to the brain of the listener for days.

Though music is her main focus, Jackson is also a visual artist, creating an instantly recognizable brand of abstract paintings, illustrations and video’s (often to accompany her tracks).”

Perfect start-of-the-week music. I think she’s on to something here – hit the play button and find out.
