Eee Gee – live at Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival – January 20, 2023 –

Diving into some festivals earlier this year, this one comes via ESNS Festival in Groningen, Netherlands. Eee Gee, who is otherwise known as Emma Grankvist has been gaining a lot of popularity throughout Europe. The Danish alt-Pop singer has been on the scene since 2021. She made her debut as eee gee with the single “Favourite Lover”. Since then she’s relocated to Brooklyn, New York, and quickly racked up numerous 5-star reviews and accolades for her debut album “Winning” (of which some Danish reviewers dubbed it the album of the year), cementing her as a rising star to watch for 2023.

Eee Gee has also already done numerous performances at big-name music festivals this year. She started off by performing at Eurosonic Festival, then quickly moved on to The Great Escape in Brighton and is now set to perform at other events such as Bilbao BBK Festival in Spain and Berlin’s Lollapalooza.

After the release of her sophomore album “SHE-REX,” she is set to perform at the Pitchfork Music Festivals in both Paris and London, showing that while she is still relatively new to the music scene, she is not slowing down anytime soon, and is definitely a rising star to watch for in the coming years.

To get an idea of who Eee Gee is, if you aren’t already familiar, you might want to check out this festival appearance (her first out of her native Denmark, according to reports). I suspect she will only gain more popularity in the coming months, so you might as well get a head start.

And while you’re here . . .you know we don’t run ads – stopped running them more than a few years ago. The ads were noisy and pretty awful and they were a huge distraction, having to wade through a lot of useless barking in order to get to the good stuff. But we still have to pay the bills, and there’s a ton of them and they don’t like to wait. And so we ask you consider becoming a subscriber and support all the stuff we do every day by kicking in what amounts to being an Americano Grande every month to be part of the solution and not the problem. In todays bizarre economy it ain’t much – but it means a ton to Past Daily. All you have to do (and we make this as simple and pain-free as possible) is head over to Patreon (that red box just below that says “Become A Patron” that you click on) and check us out. You can do 7 days free just to kick the tires and take a test drive. And if you like us, hit the subscribe button and become part of our rather haywire little family. Not bad, considering we just want you to like us.
