Another lunch break – this time it’s three tracks from the to-be-released-tomorrow (Friday May 10th) debut lp, Nude Beaches by 9-Volt Velvet, a three-piece that hails from the Austin Texas area by way of Muscle Shoals Alabama, but who have been signed to the UK label Shore Dive Records.
In the quasi-Shoegaze/post-punk/dream-pop mold with “barely there” breathy vocals, 9-Volt Velvet have been getting some attention lately, and their debut album is heavily anticipated.
Since they are (for the time being) based in Austin, one would expect them to be gigging around, at least in the Southwest.
