Chloé Antoniotti – Inspiration from the quietly beating heart.

Something peaceful and serene tonight because it’s been one of “those weeks” and trying on something calm seemed to be absolutely imperative, given the circumstances.

Chloé Antoniotti is a keyboard artist whose sublime voice and captivating spirit transpose this intimate concert into a mind-altering excursion.

A self-taught pianist, Chloé Antoniotti’s melodies tell stories without words. Originally from Aix-les-Bains in Savoie, she grew up surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes that nourish her imagination and inspire her compositions.

Bouquet II extends the floral universe established on her first EP, “Bouquet,” while gaining in maturity and depth. The songwriting took shape in an intimate setting, at her parents’ home, facing the mountains, during a pivotal moment in her personal life. Marked by a breakup, this EP draws its strength from this creative retreat, where music became a refuge.

The artist’s universe is imbued with cinema and nostalgia. She nourishes her imagination with the films of Miyazaki and the music of Joe Hisaishi, Xavier Dolan or composers Max Richter and Michel Legrand, while also drawing on the delicacy and intimacy of Hania Rani or Erik Satie.

To add more depth to her compositions, she explores the sounds of various synthesizers, primarily a Juno-106 and a Moog. They lend a vintage sound with their analog warmth and imperfect textures. Her music thus falls within a lineage reminiscent of the French Touch of Sébastien Tellier or Andrea Laszlo De Simone.

She is also deeply influenced by French song (Aznavour, Barbara, Françoise Hardy, Polnareff, Gainsbourg, Brassens), which shapes her melodic approach and her taste for timeless melodies.

A little over a half-hour but seems like seconds – recorded by Radio France FIP at Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers on February 3rd of this year.

Sit back, relax – leave the world somewhere outside and enjoy the sonic bath.
