This afternoon, the report comes from Brussels, Belgium by way Ancienne Belgique. Dressed Like Boys, recorded in concert on November 1st 2025

Dressed Like Boys is the solo music project of Jelle Denturck, a singer-songwriter based in Ghent, Belgium. As a gay man, Jelle’s work often reflects on themes of sexuality, identity, and the ongoing struggles of the queer community throughout history. With a sound that blends the warmth of ’70s piano ballads, the carefree charm of ’60s sunshine pop, indie folk, and experimental recording techniques, Dressed Like Boys creates a unique sonic world that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. His songs invite listeners into a deeply personal journey, while resonating with the broader human experience of love, resilience, and self-discovery.

Music is about the journey – it can be deeply personal as well as inspiring and reflective – it’s also about keeping an open mind and appreciating the creative spirit.
