Over to Madrid this week for a live as-it-happened concert featuring Orquesta Nacional de España, guest-conducted by Jiri Belhlavek and featuring American violin virtuoso Hilary Hahn in music of Vorisek, Vieuxtemps and Tchaikovsky. The concert was broadcast live from the stage of the Auditorio Nacional de Musica de Madrid on June 2nd.
The concert is rather long, so it’s broken up between two players. The top player features the Vorisek and Vieuxtemps and the bottom player features the Tchaikovsky.
Here’s what’s on the players:
H. Hahn (vl.), Orq. Nacional de España. Dir.: J. Belohlávek.
Another dose of Anti-Road Rage Wednesday to get you reasonably out of rush-hour.
There’s a small micro-second glitch towards the end of the Vorisek that sounds like it came from their end. With live concerts, ya gotta take your chances.
