Over to Geneva this week for a concert by the venerable l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, led by the equally venerable Neeme Järvi in music of Strauss and Mahler. Joining the Orchestra as soloists are Thomas Hampson, Baritone and Paul Groves, Tenor for Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde. Starting off the concert is Richard Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration. It was recorded live, in concert by RSR Espace 2 this past September 13th.
